Product Overview

Yellow Mustard Oil (Brassica campestris / Peeli Sarson) is a premium, golden oil known for its mild flavor and non-irritating properties. Santo Group manufactures Cold Pressed (Kachi Ghani) Oil from the finest Rajasthan seeds. Distinctly less pungent than the black variety, it is the industry standard for gourmet pickles, salad dressings, and baby massage oils requiring a gentle, nutrient-dense base.

Product Description

Key Quality Indicators

  • Mild Pungency: Distinctly less pungent than Black Mustard Oil. It has a sweet, nutty aroma and does not sting the eyes or nose, making it ideal for delicate dishes.
  • Golden Color: Our oil is unrefined but naturally clear and golden, unlike the dark reddish-brown of black mustard oil.
  • Cold Pressed (Kachi Ghani): Extracted at low temperatures to preserve natural antioxidants and the ideal Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio.

Industrial Applications

Our bulk Yellow Mustard Oil is a critical raw material for:

  • Gourmet Pickles: The preferred preservative for premium pickles (like mango/lemon) where the oil flavor shouldn't overpower the fruit.
  • Massage Therapy: Widely used for Baby Massage and body massage because it warms the skin without the burning sensation or strong smell of black mustard oil.
  • Culinary Industry: Used in Bengali and North Indian cuisine for fish curries and stir-fries where a lighter taste is desired.
  • Ayurveda: Used as a base for skin-soothing formulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Yellow and Black Mustard Oil?

Answer: Yellow Mustard Oil is golden in color, has a mild flavor, and is non-irritating (doesn't sting the nose). Black Mustard Oil is dark reddish-brown, extremely pungent (strong smell), and is used when a "kick" is needed. Yellow is considered more premium.

2. Is this oil good for baby massage?

Answer: Yes. In many parts of India, Yellow Mustard Oil is preferred for infant massage because it provides warmth and strengthens bones but is gentle enough not to irritate a baby's sensitive skin or eyes.

3. Is it Cold Pressed?

Answer: Yes. We use the Cold Pressed (Kachi Ghani) method. This ensures the oil retains its natural Vitamin E and antioxidants, which would be destroyed in refined oils.

4. Can this be used for cooking?

Answer: Absolutely. It is excellent for sautéing, deep frying, and salad dressings. It has a high smoke point and adds a rich texture to food without the overwhelming smell of regular mustard oil.

5. Does it contain Erucic Acid?

Answer: Like all natural mustard oils, it contains Erucic acid. However, for export markets with strict limits (like the USA/EU), please specify your requirement so we can supply "Low Erucic" variants if available or label as "For External Use Only" per local regulations.
